Community Development Advisory Board (CDAB)

The Community Development Advisory Board was established to review matters of importance regarding El Paso County's CDBG program and to make recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners concerning community development issues and the use of the funds.

Applications and Eligibility

Who can apply for funds?

CDBG funds can be awarded to local jurisdictions and non-profit organizations, but not private individuals.

 

What can be funded?

Any project or program funded with these federal dollars must meet specific eligibility criteria set HUD, address a local priority need, identified in the County’s Consolidated Plan, and meet a national objective of the program. Please contact us to discuss the eligibility of a specific program or project.

 

How do I apply?

Typically applications are available during the months of August, September and October for the following fiscal year which starts in April. Applications will be released on this section of the webpage.

 

Housing and Economic Development Applications

The Housing and Economic Development grant applications are generally released June and due in August.

 

 

Public Facilities and Infrastructure Applications

The Public Facility and Infrastructure grant applications will be released July and due in September

Emergency proposals are available for consideration of projects that arise outside of our standard application timeline. It is recommended that you discuss your project with us prior to submitting a proposal to determine eligibility and funding feasibility.
