Court Services
PURPOSE
The Court Services Division operates under C.R.S. 16-4-101, et seq., to determine incarcerated defendants' eligibility for release from jail on Personal Recognizance Bonds and to provide recommendations and information to the court on a daily basis. Also part of the duties are to commission Personal Recognizance Bonds at the court's direction; to supervise pretrial defendants upon the court's recommendation; and to work with all criminal justice agencies to alleviate system backlogs and inefficiencies.
The Division also provides planning, policy, and program operations and development. It offers legislative review and analysis and acts as the research and evaluation unit for court service functions.
