HIGHWAY ADVISORY COMMISSION
The Highway Advisory Commission was created to advise the Board of County Commissioners in matters involving policy and philosophy related to Department of Transportation's operations and activities.
The Highway Advisory Commission member has the responsibility to review and comment on items and proposals specifically related to issues concerning the County's policies and philosophy on the management and operation of the Department of Transportation, and to make recommendations to the County Engineer (Director) and/or the Board of County Commissioners. Members are charged with protecting the desires and interests of the entire County and shall consider all aspects of the issue at hand, analyzing all factors to determine what is in the best interest of the entire County.
The Highway Advisory Commission (HAC) meets every third Tuesday of the month at the Department of Transportation's Operations Center, 3275 Akers Drive, Colorado Springs, CO, Main Conference Room at 9:00 a.m. For additional information on the current agenda or upcoming meetings, contact the Department of Transportation at (719)520-6460.
