Faclities Management is a service organization responsible for providing functional, clean, safe, and secure facilities at all times for use by County employees and the citizens of El Paso County. Services include, but are not limited to:

  • planning and design of new facilities and interiors;
  • new construction, remodeling, renovation, general maintenance and repairs;
  • environmental regulatory compliance and remediation;
  • real estate buying, selling, and management; and
  • development of long range master facilities and space plans.

GENERAL FACTS AND INFORMATION 

The Facilities Management Department maintains all county owned buildings: 

  • 72 county owned buildings throughout the County 
  • Total of 2,400,000 square feet of space 

Most of the county buildings are maintained outside of the "Downtown Complex" area of Colorado Springs.

  • The "Downtown Complex" consists of six major buildings:
    • County Office Building
    • Pikes Peak Center for the performing Arts
    • County Professional Building
    • Terry R. Harris Judicial Complex
    • Metro Jail
    • Technical Support Building
  • El Paso County Fairgrounds - Calhan, Colorado "Home to the County Fair"
