School Fee Advisory Committee
With the adoption of the revised Land Development Code on October 12, 2006, (taking effect on April 2, 2007), this Committee is no longer needed and will not meet.
Members of the School Fee Advisory Committee were appointed by the Board of County Commissioners to advise and make recommendations to the Planning Commission and Board of County Commissioners on matters related to the establishment and update, on an annual basis, of Subdivision School Fees in Lieu of Land Dedication as set forth in Section 49.3 B. of the El Paso County Land Development Code.
The five-member Committee met on an "as needed" basis. Meetings were normally held in the Development Services Department's Conference Room, 2880 International Circle, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Volunteer members served three-year terms and included a certified land appraiser, a land developer, a builder actively engaged in the construction and sale of housing, and two representatives from Schools Districts in both urban and rural areas.
This committee is governed by adopted Bylaws, Resolution No. 96-57, General-24, adopted by the Board of County Commissioners February 22, 1996, as well as Roberts' Rules of Order.
