The purpose of El Paso County Parks interpretation at Bear Creek and Fountain Creek Nature Centers is to provide natural and cultural history interpretation, environmental education, and visitor information services to residents of and visitors to El Paso County. At nature centers, within parks, and along regional and nature trails, visitors are afforded engaging experiences which provoke interest in and appreciation for the unique foothills, wetlands, ponderosa pine, and prairie regions within El Paso County. These experiences thereby increase their knowledge and understanding of the rich heritage of natural and cultural history and lead to wise use of natural resources while enjoying the multi-use educational and outdoor recreational opportunities.
