Our motto is: "SAFETY FIRST-CUSTOMER ALWAYS"

  1. The Fleet Management Section provides transportation and construction assets to 17 entities, who we view as OUR CUSTOMERS within El Paso County.
  2. The section consist of 29 employees that maintains, service and repairs over 1,000 vehicles, equipment and attachments ranging from landscaping , snow removal, specialized, agricultural and construction equipment and medium/heavy trucks and trailers owned by El Paso County.
  3. The section manages three garages strategically located within El Paso County that facilitates quick turn around time placing vehicles and equipment back into operation and a quick response time for emergencies within El Paso County.  Complimentary to the garages, the section also maintains 11 fueling sites which reduce travel time for heavy construction equipment refueling.
  4. In 2003, the section developed and implemented a comprehensive environmental program.  Some aspects of the program are recycling used oil, used filters, cardboard boxes, scrap metal, lead weights, antifreeze and used batteries.  In  2005, the section transition from solvent base parts washers to aqueous water base parts washers.  The section also maintains three Underground Storage Tanks (USTS) and are maintained as required by Colorado State Law covered in Regulation 7C.C.R -1101-14.
